Official description
Description
The Town is engaged in multiple projects aimed at expanding native planting and supporting pollinators. Volunteer efforts are underway at new pollinator gardens in Purple Park and Superior Commons Park. Additionally, native drought-tolerant and fire-wise plantings are being prioritized in the reconstruction efforts at Children's Park, Big Sagamore Park, and Little Sagamore Park. In 2024, the Town partnered with Friends of Coal Creek and the Butterfly Pavilion to install multiple pollinator beds in Purple Park with use of volunteers and Youth Corps.
