Work with HOAs to develop and communicate standard guidelines for turf removal and xeriscaping.

Working with HOAs on water conservation was on the 2024 Advisory Committee for Environmental Sustainability ( ACES) workplan and ACES members worked with the Ridge HOA on xeriscaping. The Town co-hosted two HOA focused water conservation events with Lafayette and Louisville in 2024. Staff will continue to communicate with HOAs on best practices, especially in light of HB 23-178, where HOAs may not prohibit the use of xeriscape.
