Official description

Increase awareness and adoption of efficient electric alternatives to gas appliances and all electric buildings through community engagement.

The Town created a Beneficial Electrification Plan in September of 2023 with Xcel Energy's Partners in Energy that covers residential existing buildings, municipal facilities and new commercial and residential buildings. The educational piece of this work is launching in April 2024 with the 1-2-3 Electrify! campaign and series of events throughout summer 2024. The events and messaging cover rebates, opportunities, and information on switching appliances from gas to electric.
