Official description

Get out of or improve existing contracts to include year-round curbside composting as soon as possible. This will require strong collaboration with the HOAs.

The Town's waste contract ends at the end of 2024 and staff are currently in the community engagement process with residents about the future Town contract. There will also be an opportunity to engage with HOA leadership as part of the process. The Advisory Committee for Environmental Sustainability (ACES) will make recommendations for the new Town waste contract scope and improvements based on that feedback, including the possibility to include composting for everyone. Compost is currently available as an opt-in service.
